Job Summary
The jobholder (2-year contract) The Senior Manager/Manager will lead MENDAKI’s strategic communications efforts by shaping and executing integrated strategies across media relations and corporate communications. The role focuses on strategic planning, crafting high-impact messaging, and driving initiatives that enhance MENDAKI’s reputation and stakeholder trust.

The jobholder is expected to work from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and may be required to work over weekends and public holidays to support organisation events. Although the jobholder is largely expected to work in an indoor environment, occasional travel for meetings and programme visits is expected.

Key Responsibility Areas
Corporate Marketing
  • Serve as brand guardian, ensuring consistent application of MENDAKI’s brand identity across all touchpoints.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to promote organisational initiatives and programmes.
  • Oversee production of marketing collaterals, merchandise, and website content.
  • Drive employer branding initiatives to position MENDAKI as an employer of choice.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
  • Define and maintain MENDAKI’s social media identity and voice across non-corporate channels.
  • Develop and implement digital marketing strategies, including paid campaigns and SEO/SEM initiatives.
  • Monitor trends and emerging topics to keep content relevant and engaging.
  • Lead influencer engagement and partnerships to amplify MENDAKI’s reach.
Content & Creative Production
  • Oversee creation of high-quality content for digital and offline platforms, ensuring strong storytelling and visual appeal.
  • Manage video production and editing for campaigns and organisational events.
  • Ensure timely delivery of visual assets for marketing and digital initiatives.
  • Introduce innovative content formats to enhance audience engagement.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
  • Develop annual marketing communications plan aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Monitor campaign performance and prepare reports with actionable insights.
  • Evaluate platform metrics monthly and track social media performance quarterly.
  • Lead research studies to inform marketing decisions and improve KPIs.
Requirements
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience with proven expertise in marketing communications, digital communications and content production.
  • Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or other relevant qualifications from any recognised institution
  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Malay, with ability to craft high-impact content for diverse audiences
  • Strong strategic planning and advisory skills, with experience in developing integrated marketing communication strategies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders across different levels
  • Strong project management and time management capabilities, with a track record of delivering complex initiatives under tight deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of trends in the MM issues is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of media relations and strategic communications is an advantage
