Description of Role, Key Duties and Responsibilities
The key role of shipbroker (LPG) involves providing services of intermediation and negotiation between ship owners and ship charterers in connection with the ocean transport of liquified petroleum gas and related products. He/She will need to be a well-organized, detail-oriented department head with an influential personality and stellar leadership qualities to head a new department.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Highlighting fixture opportunities to clients;
- Developing / expanding a client base;
- Understanding the business strategy for the LPG division and seeking to identify new business opportunities relating to trends, future markets, products and clients;
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the LPG market space;
- Performing market analysis and providing market insight and trade ideas to clients;
- Working with other members of the Arrow team across the division and internationally to meet client needs;
- Servicing and developing client relationships, including by providing valuable and frequent communications with clients;
- Assisting with charter parties and issuing recaps relating to charters for the transport of cargos on vessels;
- Developing and executing business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals
- Able to identify opportunity for growth, assist with recruitment training and onboarding processes.

- Minimum 10 years of proven track records
In addition:
- Knowledge and experience is required in/of
- The maritime/shipping sector (particularly LPG)
- Physical shipbroking and associated practices
- Gas trading; and
- IT systems commonly used by shipbrokers.
- A university degree.
