Job summary

A leading chemical company in Singapore is seeking a Senior Laboratory Assistant responsible for conducting laboratory tests and quality inspections. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in Manual Wet Chemistry and possess strong analytical skills. Responsibilities include equipment calibration, quality control, training junior staff, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role demands attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Conduct quality control analysis of raw materials and finished products.
  • Perform maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.

The Senior Laboratory Assistant is responsible for conducting of all laboratory tests and samples and quality inspections assigned to them by the Supervisor.

They are expected to be knowledgeable on all equipment operating procedures as well as all quality control procedures and competent on the use of laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities
  • raw material process and finished product quality control analysis
  • advance maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of assigned laboratory equipment.
  • maintenance of chemicals and consumables inventory, preparation and standardization of chemical reagents and waste management.
  • maintenance of quality records and development of quality procedures.
  • training of junior laboratory or chemical technicians.
  • calibration of equipment.
  • conduct and contribute to risk assessment, Quality Procedures and Decision making on quality & maintenance.
  • procurement of materials and budget controls.
  • implementing QA & Safety Activities.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or chemistry related field.
