Job summary

A Leading Global Freight Forwarding & Logistics Client in Singapore is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager (Freight Forwarding) to drive growth, own the GP budget, and develop strategic client relationships. The role is a pure hunting and farming position requiring strong new business development, retention, and consultative selling skills.

You will manage a portfolio, hit GP targets, and coordinate with operations and product teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of field sales experience in freight forwarding or international logistics.
• Documented track record of achieving sales targets.
• Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver GP budget for the assigned territory.
• Identify, engage and win new clients aligned with the company's profile.
• Manage and grow existing key accounts for retention and expansion.
• Achieve regular face-to-face meetings through visits, calls and outreach.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline in the CRM and progress opportunities.
• Use consultative sales framework to understand client needs and design logistics solutions.
• Collaborate with operations, customer service, and product teams to ensure service excellence.
• Act as the primary commercial contact for clients.
