Job summary

Charterhouse Partnership is seeking a Business Development Manager, Logistics, to drive revenue and gross profit growth across Singapore. You will focus on strategic business development, multinational client acquisition, and contract logistics, coordinating with cross-border sales teams.

The role requires senior-level selling capability and deep knowledge of freight services (sea & air), customs clearance, and cross-border trucking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain, Business/Sales & Marketing or related field.
• Min. 8 years of business development or sales experience in freight forwarding or Contract Logistics.
• Proven experience managing multinational accounts.
• Strong understanding of markets and customer dynamics.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• Deep understanding of freight products, contract logistics, trade lanes, and carrier dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong customer freight pipelines and achieve assigned sales targets.
• Manage accounts, ensuring customer retention and growth.
• Develop and own strategic plans to expand the customer base.
• Identify business opportunities to increase profitability with integrated supply chain solutions (international freight; customs clearance; cross-border trucking).
• Increase awareness among prospective clients by identifying strategic opportunities in Contract Logistics Freight services.
• Design creative solutions to anticipate and exceed customer expectations.
• Secure new business while growing wallet share from existing accounts.
• Lead KPI monitoring to improve account performance and profitability.
• Build strategic relationships with client stakeholders.
• Coordinate with overseas counterparts for leads and opportunities.
• Maximize synergy and profitability when developing proposals.
