Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, Patient Billing Services (Financial Counselling)

Job Purpose

Join our team to strengthen the hospital’s financial health and ensure long-term sustainability, while empowering patients to confidently navigate their healthcare financing options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial counselling to patients to help them make informed decisions about their healthcare financing
  • Facilitate referrals to Medical Social Workers for patients experiencing financial difficulties
  • Monitor deposits and collect out-of-pocket payments from private patients
  • Obtain additional Medical Claims Authorisation Forms from next‑of‑kin to cover medical bills
  • Liaise with employers, Integrated Shield Plan providers, and medical insurers for Letters of Guarantee
  • Maintain accurate records in the Financial Counselling system
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives including RPA and AI projects
  • Assist in system UAT and various hospital projects
  • Support training material updates and conduct refresher courses

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline, with preference for healthcare‑related fields or business administration
  • At least 2 years of working experience, with customer service or healthcare experience being advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, analysis tools)
  • Experience in financial counselling and deposit monitoring in public healthcare preferred
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Self‑motivated with analytical mindset
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Willingness to work Saturday half‑days on roster basis
