Responsibilities
- Lead the design and maintenance of electrical systems for advanced automation solutions used in production and test equipment, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Drive innovation in production testing by developing new concepts and optimizing existing systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
- Translate R&D test requirements into comprehensive technical specifications for suppliers, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals.
- Evaluate and approve supplier proposals, covering control systems, electrical architecture, and mechanical integration, ensuring robust and cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and implement security concepts for test equipment, focusing on data integrity, access control, and system safety.
- Oversee commissioning and qualification of test equipment in production environments, ensuring readiness for volume manufacturing and compliance with quality standards.
- Act as a key interface between R&D, production teams, and external suppliers, facilitating effective communication and alignment across stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain calibration and maintenance documentation, ensuring long-term equipment reliability and traceability.
- Coordinate procurement activities for operating equipment, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery and compliance with specifications.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or any other related field
- Professional experience in the production environment is an advantage
- Able to comprehend electrical/electronic schematic and mechanical 2D/3D drawing is a must and ability to create will be an added advantage.
- Minimally 4-5 years of relevant experience in interfacing sensors, actuators, measurement equipment with digital and analog I/O modules, PLC, PC, etc.
- Experience of working with stepper and servo motor control is an added advantage
- Good knowledge of common industrial communication protocols such as RS232, Modbus, Ethernet, ProfiNet, etc.
- Able to work independently and in a team and take initiative when required
- Strong communication skills and good team player
