Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee all aspects of project execution, lead teams of engineers and sub-contractors, and ensure compliance with contractual specifications. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' managerial experience in the construction industry, including significant involvement in civil and infrastructure projects. Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in a managerial role in the construction industry.
  • At least 6 years managing civil and infrastructure construction work for commercial projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

  • Ensure all aspect of work including management of safety, risk, quality, time and cost
  • To Lead and manage a team of project engineers for the construction scope of works.
  • To Lead and manage a team of sub-contractors for the construction activities.
  • Manage and take the lead to initiate meetings with sub-contractors and handle stakeholder feedback.
  • Responsible for the planning and execution of the construction works, managing field construction supervisors,
  • To ensure the construction works are executed in accordance with the contract specifications
  • To Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using drafting tools or computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software.
  • Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
  • Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
  • Respond swiftly to work delays, emergencies and other matters related to construction works.
  • Complete task as assigned by Project Manager and Project Director.
Requirements
  • Min 10 years of relevant work experience in Managerial role & in construction industry.
  • At least 6 years of experience in managing civil and infrastructure construction work for projects or Commercial Building projects.
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
