About Us

We are an active player in the voluntary carbon markets, engaged in the sourcing, trading, and distribution of carbon credits across multiple registries and credit types. Our focus includes both upstream project development and fast-moving secondary-market activities. As we expand our trading capabilities, we are looking for a Senior Carbon Trader with strong experience in OTC secondary-market trading and short-cycle buy-sell execution.

This is a high-autonomy role designed for someone who understands market flow, pricing inefficiencies, and the dynamics of small-lot carbon credit trading.

Role Overview

You will run a dedicated trading book focused on high-velocity OTC transactions, primarily involving small-to-mid sized lots of carbon credits. Your mandate is to identify mispricing, execute quickly, manage risk within tight parameters, and generate consistent P&L using allocated working capital.

You will operate in a lean, fast-moving environment with full transparency, clean settlement processes, and a clear mandate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute OTC carbon credit trades with a focus on small-lot and mid-lot secondary market opportunities.
  • Identify pricing inefficiencies and short-cycle arbitrage opportunities across registries and buyer segments.
  • Manage a working capital pool with disciplined risk management and rapid turnover (typical settlement cycles T+0 to T+7).
  • Maintain and expand an active network of brokers, traders, retail platforms, and wholesale buyers.
  • Track market sentiment, flows, and pricing trends, and report actionable intelligence.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and settlement details with counterparties.
  • Ensure clean, compliant registry transfers and accurate internal reporting.
  • Deliver consistent monthly P&L in line with the trading mandate.
What We’re Looking For
  • 2–5+ years’ experience in carbon trading, environmental markets, or related OTC commodities.
  • Proven track record executing high-frequency OTC trades, ideally within small-lot segments.
  • Strong understanding of VCM dynamics, pricing behaviour, credit types, vintages, and liquidity constraints.
  • Existing network of active market participants (brokers, desks, platforms, traders).
  • Ability to operate with speed, accuracy, and excellent judgement.
  • Strong risk discipline with adherence to capital limits and position guidelines.
  • Familiarity with Verra, Gold Standard, ACR, CAR, or equivalent registries.
  • High integrity, strong documentation habits, and reliable reporting.
What We Offer
  • Working capital allocation for you to run your book.
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
  • Performance‑linked bonus / % of P&L based on results.
  • A lean, non‑bureaucratic environment with genuine autonomy.
  • Direct support for execution, registry processes, and market access.
  • Opportunity to scale the book and transition into larger structured transactions over time.
Ideal Candidate Profile

You are:

  • Fast, analytical, and highly familiar with OTC flows.
  • Comfortable running a short-cycle trading book with rapid capital turnover.
  • Connected to the market and aware of where real opportunities sit.
  • Disciplined, transparent, and consistent in generating P&L.
  • Self‑directed and effective in high‑autonomy, high‑expectation environments.
