The opportunity

Join Financial Accounting Advisory Services (Financial Services) and you will assist our clients to address the accounting and financial reporting challenges facing their business. You will be part of a team that provides insight and services that accelerate analytics, decision‑making and innovation to build a stronger and more efficient finance function.

As a Senior Associate, you will have the opportunity to participate in numerous insurance advisory projects and initiatives across IFRS 17 & IFRS 9 implementation, risk‑based capital, insurance & finance operations, and regulatory compliance. With the support of managers, you will further develop your technical and business skills by working closely with the business and finance teams. You will progress quickly in our friendly, collaborative environment, supported by formal training, senior mentoring and exposure to a wide variety of commercial experience in the financial services industry.

Your key responsibilities

• Participate in insurance advisory projects primarily focused on IFRS 17 implementation including analysing and designing accounting events & posting, chart of accounts, financial statements, finance processes & controls, and IFRS 17 solution implementation.
• Assist in data analytics and automation of financial reporting process.
• Assist in researching application of IFRS 17, IFRS 9, risk‑based capital (“RBC”), and regulatory requirements.
• Support compliance review and development of compliance work programme.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Degree in Accountancy OR professional accounting qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the financial reporting/audit/accounting advisory in the insurance industrySolution‑oriented with “go‑getter” personality

Ideally, you’ll also have

• IFRS 17 and/or IFRS 9 exposure (but not a must)
• Experience in data analytics (but not a must)
