Job summary

A leading accounting firm in Singapore is seeking a Senior Accounts Executive to manage client accounts and report preparation. The role involves liaising with auditors, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading a team of junior colleagues. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, a degree in Accountancy, and strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, including handling full sets of accounts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Xero is a plus.
  • Well-organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing tasks and meeting deadlines.

We have an exciting career opportunity for the position of Senior Accounts Executive and industry professionals to join us.

Job Responsibilities
  • 1) Accounting & Reporting
    • Prepare routine and ad-hoc accounting reports and schedules for our clients and other external parties, including preparation of annual financial statements.
    • Prepare/ Review financial reports per SFRS.
  • 2) Financial Statements & Audit
    • Prepare year-end financial statements per SFRS.
    • Liaise with Auditors, Tax Agent & Company Secretary to ensure various statutory deadlines are met.
    • Prepare tax computation and submission, as well as GST, and reporting.
  • 3) Client Management
    • Act as key contact for clients, respond to accounting/tax queries.
    • Offer advisory on compliance and financial best practices.
    • Ensure all clients’ needs are met and provide prompt response to client queries, build relationship with clients and anticipate requirements.
    • Provide clients with recommendations for improvements in processes and controls.
  • 4) Compliance and Updates
    • Ensure adherence to IRAS, ACRA, SFRS requirements.
    • Monitor regulatory changes and provide updates/training.
  • 5) Team & Process Improvement
    • Assume the role of a team leader on accounting and related assignments and provide guidance and supervision to junior colleagues.
    • Ensure that assignments are planned, executed, documented and completed within agreed timelines and in accordance with relevant professional standards.
  • 6) Ad-hoc Projects
    • Support various projects in accounting, tax and advisory as needed.
  • 7) Software Skills
    • Microsoft office, Singtax, Auto-count, Xero, Quickbooks
Job Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, including handling full sets of accounts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Xero is a plus.
  • Well-organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Positive attitude, with a drive for continuous learning and process improvement.
  • Candidates who can communicate proficiency in both English and Chinese are preferred.
  • Immediate availability or able to join on short notice.
