Job description

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents from SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and other security tools.
• Investigate and triage security events to identify potential threats and false positives.
• Escalate critical incidents to the CSIRT or SOC for further containment and remediation, and support digital forensics investigations, and root-cause analysis reports
• Perform threat analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery for cybersecurity incidents.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts with system owners and track patch compliance and security baselines across endpoints, servers, and network assets.
• Administer and maintain security platforms (e.g., MDE, Tanium, CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Splunk, etc.).
• Support audits and compliance efforts (ISO 27001, CSF, PDPA, GDPR, etc.).
• Collaborate with IT, Network, and Application teams to ensure security-by-design principles are followed.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or its equivalent preferred.
• At least 8 years of IT experience at a multinational company.
• Knowledge of Microsoft and ITSM software tools (e.g. Excel, MS Project, JIRA) and techniques is a must.
• Effective influencing, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication skills and ability to interact with all levels.
• Experience in working with a diverse, geographically remote team.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to write professionally in both English and Japanese.
• Proficiency in the Japanese language (JLPT N1) to liaise with Japan HQ.
