What you will be working on:

In this role, you will:

  • Identify knowledge or technology gaps related to fish nutrition and feed management and develop solutions to address the gaps, including conduct of relevant R&D projects.
  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders and researchers to plan and conduct aquaculture nutrition projects, including farm trials, to improve the nutrition and sustainability of aquafeeds
  • Operate pilot feedmill to produce experimental diets for aquaculture nutrition research
  • Formulate experimental diets with focus on tropical fishes and shrimps
  • Organise training workshops for staff and industry partners on aquaculture nutrition and feed management
  • Perform other related duties as required for the smooth operation of the MAC

About Singapore Food Agency

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) is a new Statutory Board formed under the ‘Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) to oversee food safety and security. The SFA will serve as the single point of contact for public feedback on food-related issues, and strengthen management of foodborne disease outbreaks to protect public health. The SFA will also facilitate more business-friendly regulations with oversight of all food safety policies and consolidation of food laboratory capabilities to deepen competencies in food diagnostics, and research and development in food safety.
