A reputable primary school in Singapore is seeking a laboratory support staff member to assist with preparations for science lessons, support teachers, and maintain laboratory facilities. Candidates should possess good communication skills and ideally have at least a year of relevant experience in a lab environment. 🗓 5-day work week
🕗 Mon, Tue, Wed & Fri: 8:00 am – 2:30 pm
(Inclusive of 30-minute lunch break)
🕗 Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

June & December School Holidays
🔧 Prepare and set up materials, apparatus, and equipment for experiments and performance tasks
👩🏫 Support teachers during practical lessons and assist with troubleshooting
👀 Monitor experiments during lessons to ensure smooth execution
⚠️ Conduct lab safety reviews once every 6 months and recommend improvements
🛒 Assist in purchasing learning materials and science resources
📅 Monitor usage schedules of science rooms
📦 Assist in procurement of science equipment and instruments
🔍 Maintain science equipment, apparatus, and inventory records
📚 Assist teachers with lesson preparation when required

Hydroponics areas
Discovery Haven
Pond
Outdoor learning spaces (Level 3)
Learning spaces & showcases
🐟 Care for living organisms (e.g. fish, insects)
🧹 Ensure cleanliness and proper organisation of labs and equipment
💡 Improve lab setup to enhance students’ learning experience
📌 Perform duties assigned by Principal, Vice-Principal, or HOD (Science)
🌿 Assist teachers in Green Sparks Club (CCA) activities every Thursday
🏆 Support competitions, training, and school science activities
🏢 Assist General Office with administrative duties during:
School holidays
Days without student lessons
📘 GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level preferred
✔️ Candidates without formal qualifications but with relevant experience may be considered
🤝 Good interpersonal and communication skills
🧪 Preferably at least 1 year experience in a laboratory or clinical environment
💻 Basic ICT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
