The Role

The Perse School (Singapore) is seeking a Part-Time School Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing healthcare services to students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being while at school. The nurse plays a key role in managing and promoting health education, addressing medical needs, and responding to health emergencies.

Overall Responsibilities

• Provide medical support for the whole school.
• Maintain and replenish medical supplies, including first aid kits, according to standard requirements.
• Ensure all medical equipment in the school wellness centre is functioning properly.
• Conduct examinations of unwell students or staff members who require immediate medical attention.
• Administer care according to established medical standards and protocols.
• Inform parents and school administrators about students' conditions and updates on their health status.
• Coordinate the transfer of students or staff to the nearest hospital’s Emergency Ward, following standard procedures, and ensure parents are notified to meet at the hospital.
• Maintain accurate records of each medical case attended to.
• Identify students who fall ill frequently or have infectious diseases, and report findings to the school administration for further action.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an enrolled nurse; pediatric or child health experience preferred.
• Experience working in an international school is preferred.
• Diploma in Nursing.
