Role Overview
We are looking for a hands‑on Sales Merchandiser to manage our supermarket accounts, maintain strong store relationships, and ensure smooth execution of merchandising and promoter campaigns. This role requires familiarity with supermarket procedures, strong coordination skills, and experience handling frozen food products.
Key Responsibilities
Supermarket & Store Relationship Management
- Build and maintain close relationships with store managers, department heads, and in‑store staff
- Understand and comply with each supermarket’s store procedures, SOPs, and ordering processes
- Act as the main liaison between the company and assigned supermarket outlets
Merchandising & Store Execution
- Ensure products are well‑stocked, properly displayed, and correctly priced in freezer sections
- Maintain planogram compliance and improve on‑shelf visibility where possible
- Conduct regular store checks on stock level, expiry dates, and product condition
Sales & Stock Management
- Monitor inventory levels and place replenishment orders in a timely manner
- Identify fast‑moving and slow‑moving SKUs and provide insights to the sales team
- Support in‑store promotions, product launches, and seasonal campaigns
Promoter Campaign Arrangement & Coordination
- Arrange and coordinate promoter deployments for supermarket campaigns and sampling activities
- Work with internal teams and external promoter agencies to ensure sufficient manpower
- Brief promoters on product knowledge, selling points, pricing, and promotion mechanics
- Ensure promoters follow store rules, food safety guidelines, and sampling SOPs
- Conduct on‑site checks to ensure promoters are present, properly set up, and executing correctly
- Collect feedback from promoters and stores after each campaign
Frozen Product Handling
Handle and manage frozen products according to food safety and cold‑chain requirementsEnsure freezer standards are maintained during merchandising and samplingReport damaged goods, freezer issues, or quality concerns promptlyReporting & Coordination
- Submit regular reports on store visits, promoter performance, stock levels, and sales performance
- Monitor competitor activity and pricing within stores
- Coordinate closely with sales, operations, and marketing teams for campaign execution
Requirements
- Experience as a Sales Merchandiser / Promoter Supervisor / FMCG Merchandiser
- Familiar with supermarket operations and procedures
- Experience handling frozen or chilled products is highly preferred
- Experience arranging or managing promoter campaigns is an advantage
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Independent, responsible, and detail‑oriented
- Able to work on‑site and travel between stores
Nice to Have
- Experience working with NTUC FairPrice, Sheng Siong, Cold Storage, Giant
- Experience in food sampling or in‑store activation
- Familiar with supermarket reporting or basic sales tracking
