Job summary

A leading Testing and Certification organization in Singapore is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive revenue growth in high-precision calibration services. The role involves developing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and providing technical support. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, along with 3-5 years of experience in technical sales. Strong communication, negotiation, and technical skills are essential. Travel may be required for client meetings.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in calibration or instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 standards is an advantage.
  • Must be willing to travel for client meetings.

About the Role

Join a leading Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) organisation with a strong reputation in Calibration and Measurement services. We are expanding our team and seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer who is passionate about engineering, customer engagement, and technical solution selling.

You will play a key role in driving revenue growth by promoting high-precision calibration services to clients across industries such as aerospace, oil & gas, semiconductors, marine, pharmaceutical, and advanced manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Business Development & Sales
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in calibration and metrology services.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals, quotations, and service agreements.
  • Negotiate contracts ensuring favourable terms for both client and company.
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Understand client needs and provide customized calibration solutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical and commercial queries.
  • Technical Support
  • Collaborate with laboratory and technical teams to ensure accurate service delivery.
  • Explain calibration processes, standards, and benefits to clients.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including troubleshooting.
  • Market Analysis & Reporting
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare regular sales reports detailing performance metrics and forecasts.
Qualifications
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or related field).
  • Diploma in Sales/Marketing
Experience
  • 3–5 years in technical sales, preferably in calibration, metrology, or instrumentation services.
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 standards and calibration procedures is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong technical knowledge of measurement instruments (pressure, temperature, electrical, dimensional).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
Requirements
  • Must be willing to travel for client meetings and site visits, including outside Singapore if necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license (preferable).
  • Quick learner with continuous improvement mindset and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
