Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manage the communication session with customers regularly to maintain the business relationship.
  • Decide quote by referring to company pricing policy and approval level, accept customer orders and give a discount per position level.
  • Manage the sales portal of ZMES system and create new access codes for sales members to log in and use the sales portal.
  • Entertain customers as per company customer service policy.
  • Manage communication between customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Accountable for the effectiveness of the efforts for the Customer Service Department at the facility site.
  • Oversee and coordinate the customer service efforts which include the planning, direction, and coordination of the sales desks of the Customer Service staff.
  • Provide key support to the department to ensure customer satisfaction remains high, both internal and external, including process improvements, goal achievements, forecasting, development of department objectives, training, and growing customer relationships.
  • Communicate with management team regarding sales, business development, pricing, technology solutions, new business relations, customer, and competitor activity to support group level strategy planning.
  • Manage the Customer Service Department by fostering a competitive atmosphere within the team to drive performance and provide strategic guidance and direction to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Mentor and assist sales team in overcoming productivity challenges and obstacles and work to maximize time management skills.
  • Develop and maintain a succession plan for the department to ensure the strength of the sales team is sustained, resulting in providing exceptional customer service short and long term.
  • Develop and author department processes, tools, and standards that support successful results for Company and Customer.
  • Conduct market research on industry and company competitive positioning within the marketplace.
  • Measure and monitor activity metrics for performance tracking and management reporting.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, purchasing, inventory, and other departments to achieve Company goals and improve processes.
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Manager in the development of business plans, sales strategies, and action plans for identified opportunities.
  • Create demand for the Company’s products and services by raising their profile with customers.
  • Identify new product opportunities and development strategies.
  • Hire, train, and develop sales personnel as required to maintain customer demand without jeopardizing company goals and objectives.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports as required by the Management Team.
  • Support collection efforts by working closely with accounts receivable department.
  • Travel as needed to support customer relations and service in respective marketplace.
  • Perform job functions in accordance with Vallourec Tube-Alloy’s Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain required department documents such as specifications, price list, discount list, customer account list, and any other controlled documents issued to sales.
  • Participate in Vallourec Tube-Alloy Employee training programs as required.
  • Fully and actively participate in the corporate QHS&E policies to promote a safe work environment for all employees.
Business Development
  • Includes Traditional Accessories (TCM, Turnkey) and other sub product-lines managed by VAPC Accessories (such as O&G Mechanical, Base Pipe, Shape Pipe, Additive Manufacturing).
  • Calling on customers in O&G Industry. These accounts include end users, consulting engineers, pipe distributors, and OEMs.
  • Plans and performs presentations to prospective clients.
  • Penetrating new accounts in the industry in order to meet sales goals as set forth by management.
  • Prepare summary reports on BD activity, as well as day‑to‑day customer/contact information for the Regional Sales Manager.
Requirements
  • Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Inside Sales or Outside Sales within a related field.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in additional languages.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
