Sales Assistant Manager – Roles & Responsibilities
1. Sales Support & Execution
- Support the Sales Manager in achieving monthly and annual sales targets
- Assist in preparing quotations, proposals, contracts, and tenders
- Follow up with clients on inquiries, confirmations, amendments, and renewals
- Handle assigned corporate and key accounts independently when required
2. Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and tastings when necessary
- Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally
- Ensure client requirements are clearly communicated to operations and kitchen teams
3. Team Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise and guide sales coordinators or junior sales staff
- Assist in training new sales team members on products, SOPs, and systems
- Ensure timely and accurate order processing and documentation
- Step in as Acting Sales Manager in the absence of the Sales Manager
4. Product & Menu Knowledge
- Possess in-depth knowledge of menus, pricing, dietary requirements, and Halal standards
- Advise clients on suitable menus based on budget, event type, and guest profile
- Coordinate with chefs and operations on custom menus and special requests
5. Reporting & Administration
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates
- Maintain accurate client records, contracts, and sales databases
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and approval workflows
6. Business Development Support
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities and market trends
- Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and corporate partnerships
- Participate in trade shows, roadshows, and networking events when required
7. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company SOPs and food safety standards
- Uphold brand image, professionalism, and service quality at all times
- Work closely with operations to ensure smooth execution of confirmed events
