Job description

Overview

This position is part of the Project Team and plays a critical role during the execution phase of the LNG Terminal Project. The Senior/ Lead Project Engineer will serve as lead project engineer for the 2nd LNG Terminal Project, ensuring that all technical requirements comply with contractual, regulatory, and operational obligations from design through commissioning and into early operations.

The role will be responsible for managing the handover from execution to operations, ensuring that S2T can be safely and reliably operated as designed across all operating scenarios and deliver the services stipulated in the contract. The role also includes assignment to the construction site during the construction and commissioning of the project.

Roles and Responsibilities

The incumbent shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of tasks and duties:

• Provide project and engineering management support throughout ongoing EPC and operational phases.
• Review and monitor contractor deliverables, technical documents, and progress against project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support the project team in managing variations, clarifications, and technical evaluations during project execution.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and execution issues.
• Deliver technical input for Planning & Development–related activities and ongoing modifications or upgrades.
• Track contractor and consultant performance to ensure compliance and quality delivery.
• Stay updated on LNG and related technologies for application to ongoing project improvements.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation actions.

Work Experiences

• At least 6 -15 years’ experience in oil & gas industry with operator, engineering company or consultancy with experience in a project engineering role. Candidates with experience in handling floating LNG facilities will have an added advantage.
• Competency in front end project development, detail engineering or project management.
• The successful candidate shall also possess the following attributes: analytical with out-of-box thinking; broad based but engineering focused; good interpersonal and facilitation skills; cross-functional team leadership skills; able to address and diplomatically resolve interpersonal conflict if necessary; adaptable to changing priorities and assignments.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
