Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a qualified Resident Technical Officer (RTO) to supervise construction projects. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Civil Engineering and be accredited as a C&S RTO. Responsibilities include monitoring site works for quality and safety, enforcing compliance with project specifications, and managing site inspections. Applicants should have 4-5 years of relevant experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in Civil Engineering projects including RTO duties.
• Accredited as a C&S Resident Technical Officer (RTO) by IES or ACES.
• At least 4-5 years of experience as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) in LTA projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction works according to project specifications.
• Monitor site works to ensure compliance with approved drawings.
• Enforce quality control and site safety.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

• To supervise the construction works in accordance to the project specifications, construction drawings, and Building Control Acts and Regulations
• To monitor site works to ensure that work is carried out in accordance to the approved construction drawings
• To keep proper site inspection records
• Check drawings and specifications for discrepancies and highlight to QP and Contractor
• Review contractor’s method statements, highlight discrepancies and inspect works on site to ensure contractor execute works in accordance to approved method statement
• Enforce quality control on site and monitor site safety
• Attend meeting with qualified persons and project consultants / clients

Job Requirements

• Experience in Civil Engineering projects which include RTO duties.
• Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Be already accredited as a C&S Resident Technical Officer (RTO) by Institution of Engineering Singapore (IES) or Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES)
• Certificate in BCSS (Building Construction Safety Supervision) or other similar construction-safety certification
• At least 4-5 years of experience as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with LTA project or similar site-based role (e.g. Site Engineer)
