Risk Manager

Join us now as Risk Manager in Singapore or Hong Kong within the AP Risk Management function.

We are seeking to recruit a risk manager to be part of the dynamic Risk Management team of Allianz Global Investors in the AP region.

In this role, you will be reporting to the Investment Risk Lead, AP to implement the Global Risk Management Framework with regard to Investment Risk related activities (market risk, liquidity risk and counterparty risk) on the Asia Pacific level.

What you will do

• Perform the independent oversight of investment risk monitoring, analysis and reporting in line with the risk framework.
• Monitor risk profile against risk appetite, predefined thresholds and country specific requirements for AP across the different asset classes
• Analyse risk on an ongoing basis, ensuring relevant risk factors are identified, appropriately managed and reported in a meaningful way
• Monitor markets and investments and support stress testing / scenario analysis.
• Support the team on producing periodic / ad-hoc risk reporting. Support automation of workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Engage in projects aimed at developing and implementing machine learning models and visualization to improve risk assessment capabilities.
• Assist with other projects as assigned by the Manager, with a focus on investment risk management.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in business / finance / computer science / data science / risk management or related discipline
• Knowledge in financial instruments and investment risk metrics
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and familiarization with data analysis tools
• Programming and data analytics (Python, PowerBI)
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
• Ability to use Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Machine Learning, SQL
• Ability to use Generative AI with knowledge of Microsoft CoPilot
