Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager, preferably in a Chinese restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, dining culture, and service etiquette.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
  • Basic computer skills (POS systems, reporting).
  • Knowledge of Singapore food safety and hygiene standards is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth front-of-house and back-of-house coordination.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate service staff to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and service standards meet restaurant expectations.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and control food and operating costs.
  • Prepare staff schedules and manage manpower efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with kitchen team on menu execution, promotions, and special events.
  • Manage cash handling, daily sales reports, and basic administrative duties.
  • Support marketing initiatives and upselling to increase revenue.
