The Decarbonisation Programme “Singapore Max-Planck Alliance for the Sustainable Conversion of Biomass” is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Automation and Software Development.

The primary objectives are supporting generation of FAIR research data and development of software for automated platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Establish a rigorous data structure for reporting experiments, both manual and automated
  • Improve an existing automation platform and expand its capabilities
  • Establish and generate thorough and general automation software
  • Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies that include procurement and liaison with suppliers
  • Assist or produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings
  • Contribute to the mentoring and guidance of junior researchers and students, fostering an environment of learning and innovation within the project team.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science or a related field
  • Proficiency in python and software development
  • Experience with laboratory automation
  • Skilled in database applications
  • Experience in version control
  • Experience with process control systems is beneficial
  • Capable of conducting independent research while effectively collaborating in a multidisciplinary environment.
