The role involves setting R&D goals, executing tests, and ensuring design validation. Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience in resin processing and molding.
  • Experience in production technology of synthetic fibres, especially melt spinning of thermoplastic resins.
  • Experience in new textile product development and quality management.

Responsibilities
  • Set research and development goals that align with customer and market requirements
  • Plan and execute tests to achieve design and development objectives, and analyse results
  • Verify design validity through performance evaluations of prototypes, including customer assessments
  • Design and validate mass‑production processes
  • Prepare technical reports and support patent application filings
  • Enhance customer satisfaction in collaboration with the sales team
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, safety regulations, and applicable standards
  • Promote continuous improvement of R&D processes and performance
  • Train, mentor, and guide team members
Requirements
  • Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Materials, Textile Engineering, or a related field
  • Over 5 years of experience in resin processing and molding
  • Experience in production technology of synthetic fibres, particularly melt spinning of thermoplastic resins such as PVC, is preferred
  • Experience in new textile product development and quality management
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to lead technical investigations
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage high‑pressure situations
  • Willingness and ability to travel on short notice for customer visits, including overseas destinations, and to participate in industry events
  • Basic proficiency in Japanese is advantageous to support communication with customers and the Japan headquarters
  • Class 3 driving licence is an advantage for work‑related travel
