The S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), a Graduate School of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), is a leading research and teaching institution in strategic and international affairs and policy think tank in the Asia‑Pacific region.
RSIS is seeking applicants for the position of Research Analyst/Senior Analyst for Malaysia Programme. Applicants should have a deep interest and some experience in researching on Malaysia's foreign, defence and security policies. They should be able to write in concise and grammatical English, and instinctively take an open and analytical approach to public policy and politics. Equally, they should be conscientious and effective managers of time and budget. They should be self‑motivated and happy to work independently on their own but also harmoniously in a team as needed.
The successful applicant will assist in managing research projects and undertake research and reporting on current developments in Malaysia. Administrative duties will include working with research partners and administrative colleagues, organising events, and managing the programme's budget.
Applicants should possess a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in history, international relations or related disciplines, with proficiency in the Malay Language (written and spoken). Applicants should also possess good writing and research skills with an aptitude and interest for in‑depth research a relevant field.
