Job summary

A leading financial institution in Singapore is seeking a motivated Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking. Job Overview

Krungthai Bank’s Singapore Branch is seeking a highly motivated and relationship-driven Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking to grow and manage a portfolio of corporate and institutional clients. The ideal candidate will be client-focused, commercially astute, and possess a solid foundation in credit risk assessment , syndicated lending , and trade finance . The role requires strong business development capabilities, relationship management skills, and the ability to structure and execute complex financing solutions across both bilateral and syndicated loan markets.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Client Acquisition
  • Identify and acquire new clients in both corporate and financial institution (FI) segments.
  • Proactively source deposit clients to expand the branch’s funding base.
  • Drive new business across bilateral loans, syndicated loans, trade finance and Deposits products.
  • Actively originate and evaluate opportunities to participate in primary and secondary syndicated loan transactions.
  • Promote the bank’s full suite of financial solutions to meet diverse client needs, including structured financing and cross-border funding strategies.
2. Relationship Management
  • Act as primary RM for assigned clients; provide end-to-end service and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Understand client business models and offer tailored financial advice.
  • Manage both corporate client accounts and FI relationship portfolios, with a focus on maintaining active engagement in syndicated loan participation, amendments, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Develop deep relationships with lead arrangers, agent banks, and syndication teams to stay informed on relevant deal flows and market activity.
3. Credit Risk & Deal Structuring
  • Conduct initial credit risk assessments and customer due diligence.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive credit applications (C / A) for internal approval.
  • Work closely with credit analysts to ensure sound and prudent credit decision-making.
  • Actively participate in syndicated loan transactions as a joining bank, including assessment of deal terms, review of legal documentation, and coordination with lead arrangers and syndication agents.
  • Support execution of syndicated deals and ongoing monitoring of exposures, covenant compliance, and borrower performance.
4. Strategic & Internal Collaboration
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Credit, Operations, Treasury, Compliance) to execute transactions efficiently.
  • Coordinate with Head Office and internal committees on deal approvals and account strategy.
  • Contribute to business planning and client development strategies.
5. Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal credit policies and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation and ensure full compliance throughout the client lifecycle.
  • Support audit processes and ensure proper governance in all transactions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Relationship Manager in corporate or institutional banking
  • Strong experience in credit assessment, credit application preparation and presentation
  • Working knowledge of trade finance, corporate lending, and syndicated loan participation
  • Background in credit analysis or credit structuring is an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a charming, easy-going personality
  • A can-do attitude, open mindset, and collaborative approach
  • Experience managing both corporate and FI clients is highly desirable
  • Proficient in English; additional language abilities are a plus
