Safety Compliance and Management
  • Carry out WSH compliance inspections.
  • Implement Workplace Safety and Health Management System (WSHMS) and Risk Management (RM) plans within scope of own work.
  • Collaborating closely with Clients, S.O Team, and Subcontractors.
  • Maintaining Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policy and procedure implementation.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk control measures to mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Analyse data on Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) performance, conditions and practices.
  • Evaluate WSH non‑compliance, unsafe work conditions and practices to identify WSH performance gaps.
  • Evaluate impact of health hazards to employees safety and prioritise issues based on severity.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the WSHMS.
  • Proactive in reviewing MSRA and continuous improvement.
Incident Management
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and workplace accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare incident reports for management and regulatory authorities.
Training and Awareness
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for workers, supervisors, and contractors.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement among all personnel.
  • Coordinate and execute WSH programme initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver safety briefings.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce site‑specific safety plans and procedures.
Audit and Inspection
  • Perform regular site safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of non‑conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Review and approve method statements and work procedures for high‑risk activities.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and relevant authorities on safety‑related matters.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to project teams regarding WSH issues.
  • Clarify WSH programme requirements to employees of other departments.
  • Provide advises to all levels.
  • Highlight barriers in complying with WSH policy and procedure.
  • Establish and conduct training program for all stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain and update safety records, permits, and other relevant documentation.
  • Prepare monthly WSH performance reports for management review.
  • Establish and furnish documentation timely.
  • Submit reports and statistic to Client and Corporate timely.
Requirements
  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Workplace Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certification: Valid WSHO certification registered with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) or equivalent regulatory body.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of WSH experience in process plant construction. Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, particularly in the mechanical equipment, process and petrochemical sectors.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in hazard identification, risk management, and control measures. Familiar with confined spaces, lifting operations and calculation, and work‑at‑height requirements. Recognized relevant professional qualifications in fire safety and environmental management would be a distinct advantage (e.g. FSM / Registered ECO/ECMO).
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and engage teams in fostering a positive safety culture.
  • Physicals: Able to work independently under extreme weather and site condition.
  • Computer Literacy: Well knowledgeable in Microsoft.
