R&D & Production Execution Chef
(Ready-to-Eat / Ready-to-Heat | Central Kitchen)
Eatz Express is expanding our Ready-to-Eat (RTE) and Ready-to-Heat (RTH) business.
We are looking for a highly disciplined, execution-focused R&D & Production Chef who can develop products and make them work at scale in a central kitchen environment.
This role is not for a restaurant-only or creative-only chef. It is for someone who understands speed, volume, structure, and reliability.

Product R&D & Standardisation
- Develop RTE/RTH products suitable for mass production
- Convert recipes into standardised specifications (ingredients, gram weight, process)
- Lock recipes for consistency and repeatability
- Production Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute end-to-end production (prep, cooking, cooling, packing, storage)
- Create SOPs that allow production to scale withoutdependency on individual skills
- Plan manpower, shifts, and equipment usage efficiently
- High-Volume & Time-Critical Operations
- Support sudden volume increases, including large overnightproduction
- Break down production needs into clear execution plans
- Remain calm, structured, and solution-oriented under pressure
Quality, Safety & Cost Control
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards
- Ensure consistent quality across batches
- Monitor yield, cost, and efficiency
- Reduce waste while maintaining product standards
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, QA, procurement, and business teams
- Support Halal-compliant production processes
- Prepare products for vending and retail channels
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years experience in:
- Central kitchen or food manufacturing
- RTE / chilled / frozen food production
- Strong understanding of high-volume production
- Comfortable with SOPs, measurements, and structured processes
- Able to work flexible hours when required
- Experience in Halal environments is an advantage
