Commission + Maternity Leave Admin/Showroom Coverage
Meraki Decoration is hiring a Quantity Surveyor (QS) to lead QS / commercial documentation for our loose furniture and system furniture projects. This role will also support sales admin works, especially during maternity leave coverage.
✅ Compensation includes: Basic + Commission (performance-based)
Key Responsibilities (QS / Commercial – Main Scope)
- Prepare cost estimates, itemised quotations and pricing breakdowns for loose & system furniture works
- Conduct quantity take-off / measurements and verify scope against drawings and site conditions
- Prepare and submit progress claims based on agreed milestones
- Manage variation orders (VO): pricing, documentation, approvals, and claim submissions
- Issue invoices / tax invoices, ensure accuracy of supporting documents, and maintain invoicing records
- Prepare warranty certificates and related documents
- Maintain QS documentation and trackers: quotation tracker, claim tracker, VO tracker, invoice logs
- Liaise with suppliers / installers for pricing confirmation, scope clarification and lead time alignment
- Support project team with cost control and margin tracking
- Attend showroom visits when required: greet clients/designers, understand requirements, support basic product introduction, prepare proposal and quotation after the visits
Sales Admin Support (Maternity Leave Coverage / Secondary Scope)
- Respond to customer enquiries via WhatsApp, email, phone, website live chat and social platforms
- Support day-to-day office operations: supplies, simple admin reporting, general coordination
- Ensure showroom readiness (setup, cleanliness, samples/materials organisation, presentation upkeep)
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant QS/estimating experience
(interior fit-out / renovation / carpentry / furniture / system furniture preferred)
- Good knowledge of costing, measurement, progress claims, VO documentation and invoicing
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills and high attention to detail
- Comfortable handling both office/admin tasks and showroom-facing duties
- Strong communication skills; able to coordinate with clients, suppliers and installers
