Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage the full spectrum of cost management for projects. Responsibilities include managing tendering processes, P&L, and vendor relations. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma/Degree in a QS course with at least 2-3 years of experience in commercial projects, especially within the design and build sector. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MsOffice is required to prepare accurate quotations and monitor project progress.

Qualifications

  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in design and build for commercial, govt & F&B space.
  • Knowledge of all Tender portals will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage timeline of tender submission.
  • Manage tendering process, analyse and evaluate of tenders.
  • Manage P&L of project.
  • Attend Site Briefing before tendering the project.
  • Prepare quotation based on the designers' drawings and materials spec.
  • Prepare BOQ for submission.
  • Monitor and keep track of project progress for claim submission.

Job Summary

We are seeking a team player to join our new business unit as quantity surveyor. The successful candidate will work with a team of highly skilled teammates to fulfill pitching of projects. From gathering costing, to putting the tender together for submission, to price negotiation with vendors, issuing of POs and submitting of claims. Supporting the full spectrum of the cost management ensuring successful bid and delivery of the project. This role requires excellent communication, relation management with vendor and cost negotiation. One who is sharp with costing and managing P&L of a project, and a team player who is willing to strive with the team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage timeline of tender submission
  • Manage tendering process, analyse and evaluate of tenders.
  • Manage P&L of project
  • Attend Site Briefing before tendering the project.
  • Prepare quotation based on the designers' drawings and materials spec, upon obtaining subcontractor's quotation for various trade.
  • Prepare BOQ for submission
  • Follow up with Tender Questionnaire reply and Interview (if any)
  • Monitoring progress and liaising with the vendor.
  • Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure, submission for progress claim, quotation and VO submission.
  • Monitor and keep track of project progress for claim submission
  • Vet vendor's claim submission before submitting to PM for payment approval
