Job summary

A global design firm in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage costs, procurement, and vendor relationships for design and build projects. This role requires at least 3 years of experience in the design industry, focusing on interior design and project management. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teams to enhance project value and ensure compliance with standards, alongside developing cost estimates and strategies to improve margins.

The Quantity Surveyor will work with the Wolf Design team members and Senior QS on design and design & build projects for across Singapore and support the growth of our interior design & Build capability

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for all conventional aspects of project cost, procurement and management of vendor and profit Margin management of a design & build of a project. Plans and conducts evaluation selection of Vendor , track project procurement lead time , pre-qualify vendor , assist vendor , invoice , contract administration into CBRE my Supplier , my buy platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Wolf Pack to help grow the interior design and build business locally
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners in project management, and advisory
  • Assist with management of the cost with the aim to increase design & Build project margin and risk management in project pitch
  • Carry out work plans for each project, managing cost and material/ product delivery.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and directing project activities, workflow, and other day to day activities, to ensure goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget, and other performance targets.
  • Day to day responsibility for developing project cost, based on the programming requirements and budget parameters and coordinating project documentation.
  • Coordinates activities of team engaged in preparing design concept , detail design and completion of projects ,
  • Coordinates with outside consultants, engineering disciplines and Project Managers for fee proposal
  • Coordinates activities with team to establish J&A approval
  • Managed project Profit
  • Reviews strategy for pitch where Risk and cost is concern.
  • Works with Team Lead in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts.
  • Lead by example and model behavior consistent with the company's values.
  • Daily contact with design team for all project cost / contract related matters, manage design lead requests to ensure we are providing an exemplary service to our customers, and assist with building client relations.
  • Coordination with Legal for contract review and compliance
  • Perform other related duties as and when required.
  • Handle RPF Submission
  • prepares cost estimates for projects and detail costing submission
  • track of the progression of the contract with regards to any variations.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills are needed for discussion with team leader
  • Responsible for enhancing the overall value of the project while keeping to the standards and policies
  • Assess the degree of hazards and risks to ensure workplace safety is maintained
  • Develop cost reduction strategies to enhance the overall value of the project
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Prepare the cost analysis for the project in order to ensure the overall value is enhanced.
Required Knowledge & Skills
  • 3+ years in design industry with relevant experience
  • Relevant and appropriate experience in leading roles within reputable design firms
