Job summary

A prestigious interiors company is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage cost analysis, prepare tenders, and liaise with clients and contractors. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in Building or Quantity Surveying and experience in the construction field. Responsibilities include monitoring project costs, preparing monthly claims, and negotiating contracts. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team in Singapore.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ relevant experience in interiors design building construction field.
  • Knowledge of contracts documentation and submission of tenders.

Job description
Prestigious Interiors Company looking for Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
Responsibilities:
  1. Quantity taking off and cost comparison for main work trades, negotiate and analysis costs for tenders
  2. Take off quantities, compute costing, monitoring and maintaining the cost expenditure of the Project site assigned
  3. Prepare tender submission including bills of quantities and discuss with Manager for pricing
  4. Source for quotation and administration of contracts; obtaining sub-contractor's quotation for various trade
  5. Prepare monthly progress claim and cost analysis based on the architectural drawings and materials required
  6. Prepare for final submission and follow-up with Tender Questionnaires reply and Interview
  7. Monitoring progress claim and liaise with vendors
  8. Attend Site meeting for on-going project
  9. Process VO and preparing final accounts
  10. Deal with significant contractual issues including extension of time, loss and expense claims, terms and conditions etc
  11. Liaise and establish rapport with all related parties including company clients, contractors, and consultants on certification of claims for payments
  12. Work as part of a team to ensure that the requirements of the Client are delivered
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Building, Quantity Survey, Architecture, or its equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience in using basic AutoCAD and reading drawings
  • Well versed in contracts documentations including follow-up & submission of tenders
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years’ relevant experience in Interiors Design building construction field
