Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
  • Hands-on experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment (CMM, gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, AS13100 quality management systems.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute detailed inspection plans for aerospace components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with customer, engineering, and regulatory requirements.

  • Work closely with design and engineering teams to define inspection methods, criteria, and acceptance standards for new and existing products.

  • Select and utilize appropriate inspection tools and measurement equipment such as CMM, optical systems, gauges, calipers, and micrometers.

  • Establish acceptance criteria and tolerances based on engineering drawings, material specifications, and industry standards.

  • Create, maintain, and manage inspection documentation and reports to ensure full traceability and certification (FAI, in‑process, and final inspections).

  • Develop and support CMM or gear inspection programming for in‑process and final inspections.

  • Ensure all inspection activities comply with aerospace quality standards including AS9100, AS9110, AS9120, NADCAP, FAA, and customer‑specific requirements.

  • Support internal and external audits related to inspection and quality systems.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues using tools such as 8D, FMEA, and Fishbone.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Stay updated on emerging inspection technologies and best practices within the aerospace industry.

Requirements / Preferred Skills
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.

  • Hands‑on experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment (CMM, gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.).

  • Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, AS13100 quality management systems.

  • Good analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience in root cause analysis.

  • Basic experience using CAD or drawing software with strong drawing interpretation skills.

  • Knowledge of CMM programming and/or NDT will be an added advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work cross‑functionally.
