1. Quality Control and Inspection
- Monitorproducts and processes to ensure they meet specifications.
- Inspectand test raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products.
- Identifydefects or nonconformities and report root causes.
2. Process Improvement
- Analyseproduction data to identify root causes of quality issues.
- Utilisequality tools such as Six Sigma, SPC, 5 Whys, and cause–effect diagrams.
- Proposeand implement corrective measures to reduce defects and waste.
3. Documentation and Standards / ISO Management
- Prepareand update quality documents (SOPs, work instructions, inspection plans).
- Takethe lead on ISO implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvementof the Quality Management System (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Ensurecompliance with ISO, IATF, UL, and ASTA standards.
- Maintainaudit records and assist in obtaining and renewing certifications.
4. Supplier Quality Management
- Conductsupplier audits based on performance and approval criteria.
- Handlesupplier quality issues and manage SCAR/CAPA processes.
5. Customer Quality
- Liaisewith customers on quality requirements, quality reports, and auditsupport.
- Addresscustomer quality concerns and ensure timely communication and resolution.
6. Problem Solving and Corrective Action
- Investigatecustomer complaints and internal quality issues.
- Leadstructured root cause analysis and implement CAPA actions.
- Verifyeffectiveness of corrective and preventive measures.
7. Collaboration and Training
- Workclosely with production, R&D, and engineering teams to resolve qualityissues.
- Trainemployees on quality procedures, standards, and best practices.
8. Audit and Compliance
- Supportinternal and external audits for regulatory and customer compliance.
- Performincoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Analysedefects and prepare quality reports.
- Managecalibration of measuring equipment.
- Handlecustomer complaints and conduct internal audits.
9. MOM Compliance & Risk Management
- Leadand maintain Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) risk assessments and SafeWork Procedures (SWP) required by MOM.
- Ensureworkplace safety documentation, hazard identification, and risk controlscomply with MOM regulations.
- Supportincident investigations and ensure proper reporting as required by MOM.
- Coordinatewith WSH personnel and management to ensure risk controls are implementedand maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degreeor Diploma in Quality Management, Material Engineering, Manufacturing, orrelated field (advanced degrees or certifications are an advantage).
- Minimum2 years’ experience in quality control, with focus on ISO certifications.
- Strongunderstanding of ISO 9001 Standards and ability to implement and maintainISO requirements.
- Knowledgeof Component FAI / PPAP / PSW is an advantage.
- Abilityto communicate fluently in Mandarin and English for liaison withChina counterparts.
- Provenexperience in managing quality operations and driving continuousimprovement.
- Proficiencyin quality methodologies, statistical analysis, and root cause analysistechniques.
- Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-orientedwith strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiaritywith quality management software and tools.
- Strongleadership and cross-department collaboration skills.
