A leading materials engineering company in Singapore seeks a Quality Control Specialist to ensure product and manufacturing quality. You will oversee quality assurance processes, create control plans, and lead root cause analysis initiatives. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of QA principles, proficiency in statistical methods, and familiarity with semiconductor fabrication operations. Ensure product entering operations or inventory meets all design requirements by confirming dimensional characteristics, visual/cosmetic attributes, functional operation and supporting documentation review.
Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Compare measurement outputs against design requirements and determine pass/fail.
Create and maintain quality control plans, procedures, checklists, inspection reports and other technical documents.
Use statistical methods to analyze quality data, identify trends, and monitor process reliability.
Lead root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Support and conduct basic manual (surface plate and visual) inspection of parts and packaging.
In‑depth knowledge of QC/QA principles, tools, and methodologies (SPC, Root Cause Analysis).
Proficiency in using measurement tools, analysis software, and relevant software.
Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication operations preferred.
Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
