A leading engineering company based in Singapore is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to ensure product compliance with industry standards and specifications. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of quality control experience in manufacturing. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, implementing quality control plans, and investigating non-conformities. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and good communication abilities are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-process and final inspections of pressure vessels, clean agent cylinders, valves, actuators, and assembled fire suppression systems.
Verify that all products comply with industry standards (e.g., UL, FM, ISO, NFPA) and company specifications.
Review and ensure accuracy of test reports, calibration records, quality documentation, and batch records.
Perform routine testing such as hydrostatic testing, leakage testing, weight verification, and functional checks.
Implement quality control plans, procedures, and sampling methods to ensure consistent product quality.
Investigate non-conformities, prepare NCR reports, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Procurement to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
Monitor supplier quality and inspect incoming materials, components, and clean agent refills.
Maintain and update QC records, inspection reports, test logs, and quality dashboards.
Assist in internal and external audits, including certification and compliance audits.
Recommend improvements to manufacturing processes to enhance product reliability and reduce defects.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control or testing within manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, NFPA standards, UL/FM requirements, and pressure vessel codes.
Familiarity with clean agent handling, refilling, and safety procedures is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Proficient in MS Office and basic QC documentation.
High attention to detail, reliable, and able to work under minimal supervision.
