Job description

Quality Assurance (QA) Executive in food manufacturing is responsible for supporting and ensuring the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality food products by monitoring and enforcing quality standards across all stages of the production process. This role involves conducting inspections, testing, and audits while collaborating closely with production teams to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions. The QA Executive plays a key role in upholding compliance with food safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards such as HACCP, GMP, and ISO.

Job Descriptions
  • Assist in preparing necessary documents and assist in internal and external audits by regulatory bodies and customers, as well as follow up on corrections/corrective actions.
  • Help address and investigate customer complaints related to product quality and safety, ensuring that appropriate corrective actions are taken to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct routine premises hygiene and sanitation inspections, mock recalls and traceability.
  • Assist in training on food safety and quality related programmes (GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000).
  • Liaise with laboratory for product microbial testing and environmental testing.
  • Support the monitoring and evaluation of suppliers and raw materials to ensure that incoming ingredients and materials meet required quality standards.
  • Provide support for pest control programmes for the plant and maintain pest control records.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) or ISO 22000/FSSC documents to enhance product quality and compliance to ISO 22000/FSSC.
  • Conduct and prepare validation and verification reports.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties/tasks, or projects assigned by QA Manager.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Nutrition or equivalent.
  • WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1/Food Hygiene Officer (FHO).
  • Minimum 1-2 years working experience in related field.
  • Relevant knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 22000:2018, GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment, root cause analysis, and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) procedures.
  • Familiarity with auditing practices and certifications for quality management systems.
  • Able to travel to other business units
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work independently, as well as a team player.
  • Possess good communication skills—written and verbal.
