Job description

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Executive your role focuses on monitoring quality performance, conducting audits, managing documentation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads implementation of quality systems to adhere to product specifications, SOPs set for Production Processes and ISO22000 standards.
  • Handles ISO documentation, ISO audits, external audits, customer audits and SFA audits, including liaising with external auditors and SFA officers.
  • Ensures company’s ISO 22000 and SFA central kitchen license are maintained continuously
  • Undertakes the full spectrum of Quality Assurance function, including but not limited to:
    • Raw material checks
    • Critical control points check
    • Final product verification
    • Calibration of equipment and thermometers
    • Ensure the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation.
    • Proper maintenance of supplier records and ensure that suppliers adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety and product quality standards and documenting such records where necessary.
    • Monitor and handle pest activities and ensure good hygiene practice in production facility; liaise with pest control contractor to conduct monthly checks and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Dealing with customer feedback investigations or product quality/safety issues by liaising and cooperating with interdepartmental colleagues and rectifying issues with the production and/ or logistics team.
  • Daily inspections on cleanliness of production facility, condition of equipment, finished products, staff hygiene practices within production facilities to ensure compliance with Process Specifications or Food Safety Management System.
  • Works with the head of production and team leads to ensure production flow and processes comply with existing food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Plans and conducts internal food safety management audits periodically, and provides strategic advice and support to the production team in filling up the audit gaps.
  • Conducts regular shelf life tests and sensory analysis of new and existing products.
  • Responsible for proper information on product labels internally and externally for end consumers.
  • Preparation of samples for microbial testing, regular shelf life testing and sensory analysis of new and existing products.
  • Plays an active role in product development and contributes food science knowledge in troubleshooting issues in its early development stage, achieving a longer product shelf life and/ or in general achieving a better product all-round.
  • Other duties and tasks assigned by the management of the company
Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any Food Science / Food Technology Related Field of Study;
  • Fresh graduates are welcome! Applicants with previous relevant working experience in the related field will have an advantage;
  • Team player in an SME Food Production setting;
  • Familiar with ISO22000, SFA regulations and Food Safety Management Standards.
