Job summary

A leading quality management firm in Singapore is seeking a Quality Supervisor to oversee quality inspections, ensure compliance with standards, and lead a QC team. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in the crating and packaging industry. Strong knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and related standards is essential. This role involves training staff, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems and customer/regulatory standards but not limited to ISO9001.
  • Oversee quality inspections and controls and lead the QC team to meet quality requirements.
  • Use data analysis to drive quality improvements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external parties (e.g., customers, auditors, suppliers).
  • Manage customer issues and provide corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct training and certification for QC and production staff on quality standards.
Roles Responsibilities
  • Ensure procedures meet TransPak global, industry, and customer standards.
  • Manage document control and maintain quality documentation.
  • Create and update QC SOPs and Work Instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
  • Support and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Prepare reports and support internal/external audits and reviews.
  • Plan manpower allocation and overtime for the QC team.
  • Train staff on inspection standards for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
  • Monitor and improve nonconformance issues across sites.
  • Report quality issues clearly to production/engineering teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement activities (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Report quality performance to management.
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure quality inspectors are trained and certified.
  • Ensure inspection/testing equipment is calibrated and maintained.
  • Adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and guide inspectors and technicians.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager.
Requirement
  • Minimum Diploma in a technical field; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of quality supervisory experience in any industry; experience in crating and packaging is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001:2015, ISO14000 and ISO45001
  • Certified Quality Engineer will have added advantage
  • Knowledge of PFMEA, Problem Solving (Fishbone, 5-why), statistics and Control Plan
