Job summary

A concrete manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to implement and enforce the Concrete Quality Control Plan. The role requires conducting site inspections, managing QC personnel, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Implements and enforces the Concrete Quality Control Plan
2. Ensure daily site inspections are performed and directs all quality control personnel
3. Manages and coordinates the work process of control and documentation performed by the QC Technicians and testing laboratory personnel
4. Performs submittal review and approval, ensures testing is performed and provides QC certifications and documentation.
5. Prepares or verifies development of preparatory phase checklist to be reviewed with all production personnel prior to each phase of construction.
6. Primary point of contact for contractor’s Quality Control responsibilities and obligations.
7. Documents all non-conforming work and corrective action to be taken.
8. Verifies correction of non-conforming work.
9. Disseminates Quality Control Plan, issues and objectives to all production personnel
10. Verifies that required inspection and reporting is performed
11. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers and managers
12. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for enhancing quality control processes and procedures
13. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of quality control processes into overall project objectives
14. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

1. Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent certificate in concrete technology.
2. 3 years of experience on QC/QA aspects of Ready-mixed Concrete.
3. Experience working with a RMC manufacturer is a plus.
4. Willing to work overtime when needed
