Position: QAQC Assistant Executive (Production and Retail)
Responsibilities
1) Food Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Maintain and update documentation for Food Safety Management System (ISO 22000), Halal requirements, and ensure proper record keeping.
- Support compliance with regulatory and certification requirements from SFA, MUIS, NEA, NTUC FairPrice (consignment kiosk), and other authorities.
- Follow up on inspection findings, audit non-conformities, and corrective action implementation for production and retail operations.
- Assist QAQC Team in food safety initiatives, quality improvement activities, and audit preparation.
2) Production & Hygiene Monitoring
- Conduct routine GMP, hygiene, and halal compliance checks in production areas.
- Carry out hygiene audits across production departments and liaise with the Hygiene Department on public area cleanliness.
- Coordinate and monitor monthly pest control activities.
- Coordinate and assist with annual equipment calibration by external vendors (e.g. weighing scales, chemical dispensers) and maintain calibration records.
- Monitor and manage stock levels for consumable items.
3) Retail Operations & Audits
- Conduct unannounced food hygiene audits at retail outlets to assess cleanliness, pest control, food handling, and personal hygiene to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (SFA, MUIS, etc).
- Observe and evaluate food handling processes including preparation, baking, cooling, packing, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Identify areas for improvement and liaise with in-house technicians for rectification works when required.
- Follow up on findings raised during impromptu inspections by authorities and external partners.
4) Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare Food Hygiene Audit Reports with findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Document audit observations and ensure non-conformities are rectified within stipulated timelines.
5) Customer Feedback & Complaint Handling
- Assist in investigating customer complaints to find out root cause analysis, and provide findings to QAQC Executives for corrective action closure.
- Coordinate laboratory testing with the QAQC team for product-related complaints when required.
- Ensure corrective measures are implemented and monitored for effectiveness.
6) Training & Support
- Provide training, guidance, and corrective actions to production staff, bakers, outlet managers, and retail assistants on food safety, hygiene, and compliance requirements.
- Support outlets in implementing food safety procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
7) Stock & Distribution Management
- Issue retail consumables and production tools as requested and prepare items for new outlet openings.
- Monitor and replenish needs for consumables and tools.
- Perform monthly stock take for retail consumables (RC-RT items).
- Prepare and distribute face masks to production, retail outlets, and office staff on a monthly basis.
8) General Support
- Assist Assistant QAQC Manager and QAQC Executives on quality-related matters.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma qualification in Applied Food Science or relevant field of study.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in quality inspection in food industry.
- Good understanding of SFA, GMP, HACCP, Halal and other food-related requirements and regulations in Singapore.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Responsible and able to work independently.
- Need to travel to various outlet locations as required.

- Work time: 8.00am to 5.30pm
- Working Day: 5 days week (Monday to Friday)

- Annual Incentive Bonus: pay out twice in a year - 0.5months of basic salary each period.
