Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Proposal Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating well-researched, persuasive, and high-quality proposals to secure new business opportunities and partnerships. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and project management, to deliver customized proposals that address client needs and highlight our value propositions.
Key Responsibilities
- Proposal Creation:
- Write, edit, and develop compelling proposals for new business opportunities, ensuring that all proposals meet the client’s specific needs and requirements.
- Customize pre-existing templates to fit client specifications and preferences.
- Develop clear and concise content that communicates our company’s solutions, products, and services effectively.
- Collaboration:
- Work with internal teams (sales, legal, project management, etc.) to gather necessary information for proposal development.
- Coordinate the submission process, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
- Proposal Management:
- Manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and high-quality standards.
- Track proposal progress and communicate status to relevant stakeholders.
- Research:
- Conduct research on potential clients, their industry, competitors, and specific project requirements.
- Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other documents to ensure all specifications are met.
- Editing & Proofreading:
- Review proposals for clarity, consistency, grammar, and accuracy.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and company standards.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the continuous development of proposal templates, tools, and processes to improve efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new proposal technologies.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience in proposal writing, business development, or a related field.
- Experience with RFPs, RFIs, and formal proposal processes is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with proposal management software (e.g., Proposify, RFPIO, or others) is a plus.
