The Project Manager – Grow Emerging Asia is a pivotal role responsible for leading, coordinating, and executing strategic projects that drive business expansion and operational excellence across the rapidly developing emerging markets in India and Southeast Asia. This position requires a dynamic professional with strong project management skills, cultural fluency, and a passion for fostering innovation and sustainable growth in diverse and evolving environments.

  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams across ZEISS Business Segments to deliver complex projects on time, within scope, and on budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals for growth in emerging Asian markets
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to identify growth opportunities, define project objectives, and develop comprehensive plans for market entry, expansion, or transformation
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal (in SSC) and external (in Global and APAC Business Segments) stakeholders, including local partners, government agencies, and key clients, to facilitate project success
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, adapting strategies to address challenges unique to emerging Asian markets
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor project progress using appropriate tools and methodologies, re-port on milestones, and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Cultural and Market Insights: Leverage deep understanding of local cultures, business customs, and regulatory environments to tailor project approaches and ensure relevance
  • Resource Management: Allocate and optimize resources effectively across multiple projects and geographies
  • Continuous Improvement: Capture lessons learned, promote best practices, and drive process improvements for future initiatives
