Project Manager (Contract)

Description:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects within scope, budget, and timeline. This role involves managing stakeholders, coordinating resources, and ensuring adherence to governance and compliance standards. The successful candidate will lead strategic projects, including global platform migrations, regulatory and mandatory initiatives, and operational excellence projects. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential to collaborate across operations and technology teams. The Project Manager also leverages AI and automation tools to enhance reporting, risk management, and decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation to implementation, ensuring successful delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Manage stakeholder communication and expectations across all levels of the organization.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and validate deliverables against business needs.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure thorough testing and successful project delivery.
- Run governance routines, senior working groups, and prepare project dashboards and reports.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage dependencies between workstreams.
- Manage project financials, resource planning, and variance tracking.
- Leverage AI-driven analytics and automation tools to improve reporting and forecasting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and AI integration within project workflows.
- Support change management activities and ensure smooth adoption of project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and organizational standards.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget, with ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
- Strong influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with project methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2, PMP).
- Knowledge of AI concepts and experience using AI-powered tools (i.e. Copilot) for reporting or automation.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Financial Services, especially Investment Banking and Global Markets Operations.
- Knowledge of structured business analysis (e.g., Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with SharePoint workflows and document management.
