Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project schedules, project budget, and execution plans for hyperscale data center builds.
• Coordinate design development with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure constructability and alignment with client requirements.
• Oversee procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and long-lead items.
• Ensure all construction works are executed in line with design specifications, industry codes, and client expectations.
• Manage the project budget and allocate financial resources effectively.
• Set clear goals for engineers, technicians, and vendors to monitor performance and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Oversee workforce planning, training, and succession planning to support both day-to-day operations and future project needs.
• Optimize workflows and resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Identify potential risks, obstacles, and roadblocks, and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Lead root cause analyses, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and workplace safety standards.
• Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and milestones to senior management and clients.
• Support client onboarding, address technical concerns, and ensure a high level of client trust in service delivery.
• Track project progress against schedule, budget, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct regular site reviews, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor vendor and contractor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
• Implement project management tools and methodologies for efficient reporting and decision-making.
• Ensure successful completion of projects within budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Lead commissioning, integrated system testing (IST), and final handover to operations teams.
• Ensure thorough documentation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and certification records.
• Capture lessons learned to apply continuous improvement for future projects.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma with at least 7 years of experience in project / engineering / construction management, preferably in data centre or critical environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, design standards and technical specifications, with high level of accuracy and attention to detail in execution and documentation.
• Proficiency in leading team, vendors, and projects in 24/7 environment.
• Familiarity with industry standards & sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives (Uptime Tier, TIA-942, Singapore Standards, GreenMark etc.)
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Certification in workplace safety (eg. WSQ, WSH) preferred.
• Positive proactive attitude and ethical behaviour.
• Good leadership and team player with ability to work independently and resolve challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaborative and people management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
