JOB SUMMARY
  1. The Programme Assistant/Executive is responsible for providing overall programme and administrative support for the Centre.
  2. Being respectful and show understanding of the behaviours of person with mental health issues
  3. Show care and concern when interacting with person with mental health issues and caregivers
  4. Able to interact comfortably and at ease with person with mental health issues
JOB DESCRIPTION
  1. Assist the Day Centre Executive in the execution of daily activities planned for the day centre;
  2. Accompany clients on outings and excursions;
  3. In the absence of the Day Centre Executive, ensure that programmes are managed and continued;
  4. Assist and contribute towards the improvement of activities that clients prefer;
  5. Conduct at least one of the following activities but not limited to :
  • Art & craft
  • Cooking or domestic craft for female clients
  • Outdoor activity (badminton, walk in the park)
  • Indoor games
  • Computer session

6.Assist with organizing outings, festive celebrations and other events;

7. Assist Day Centre Executive with providing life skills / functional skills training and vocational skills training to clients

8. Provide other related duties / services as assigned by supervisor

Administrative
  1. Attend staff meetings, training as required
  2. Answer general enquiries - calls / walk-in
  3. Perform general office tasks including photocopying of documents, filing, contacting caregivers, mailing, invoicing, collection of fees as needed
  4. Assist with providing support to volunteers
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • O-Level or NITEC
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Able and willing to perform administrative duties
  • Self-motivated with passion in community work
  • Preferably able to teach art and craft
  • Good communication skills and able to relate well with clients
