Production Support Analyst (Banking / UNIX / SQL / ITIL)

12‑Month Renewable Contract (NTT Payroll – Deployed at Alexandra Building)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Support Analyst to provide L2 application and infrastructure support for critical banking systems. The role involves incident investigation, monitoring, and ensuring service availability within SLA timelines.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in UNIX/Open Systems & SQL, along with solid understanding of ITIL processes and production support best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate production issues and respond based on severity and SLA timelines.
  • Manage and respond to user queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Log, track, and close incident tickets while meeting closure KPIs.
  • Ensure smooth Start of Day (SOD) and End of Day (EOD) job executions.
  • Maintain application uptime and support Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises.
  • Assist System Engineers with server patching and upgrades.
  • Use tools such as Control‑M, Genos, Splunk, SQL Monitor for scheduling and monitoring.
  • Configure and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerts.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and maintain detailed incident documentation.
  • Provide workarounds or fixes using AS400 commands, UNIX shell scripts, or SQL queries.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure stable operations and timely resolution of issues.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on production support experience in banking or financial systems.
  • Strong knowledge in UNIX/Linux, SQL and Shell Scripting.
  • Experience supporting retail or wholesale payments or customer information systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Control‑M job scheduling and Splunk/Genos monitoring tools.
  • Good understanding of ITIL Service Operations processes.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
  • Willingness to work in a 24×7 shift support model.
  • Flexibility to support multiple platforms – UNIX / Open Systems / AS400 / Mainframe.
Good to Have
  • Experience in Market Data systems and dashboard configuration.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Basic networking and middleware troubleshooting knowledge.

ITIL – Service Operation / Incident & Problem Management

UNIX / Open Systems – Shell Scripting, Monitoring, Log Analysis

SQL – Oracle / MS SQL Query Optimization and Troubleshooting

(AS/400 exposure will be an added advantage)
