Job description
Responsibilities
  • Product Planning for China Region
  • Write and maintain accuracy of appealing tour itinerary descriptions.
  • Plan & market China FIT products + Free & Easy products
  • Plan & control group seats / hotel rooms inventories
  • Manage tour pricing and set costs, by analysing performance, market influences and budget requirements; define assumptions and propose selling prices.
  • Provide tour set-up for OB system.
  • Closely monitor sales against budget and pace by using available data sources and reports
  • Liaise & Negotiate contract rates and terms: hotels, tour operators and special offers, while remaining in compliance with other relevant regulations Manage and maintain tour operators’ relationships along with contract administration.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing department for brochures and collateral production.
  • Assist with vendor performance management
  • Provide training for counter staff on tour products and destinations.
  • To assist the department head in strategic planning of China tours
  • Attend meetings / seminars & familiarization trips
  • Assist with travel fair assignment
Skill Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years in travel industry; experience with product management, contracting and pricing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office word & excel are required
  • Good command of both written and spoken English & Chinese, Chinese is preferable
  • Familiar with GDS knowledge, Sabre reservation system, and OB reservation system.
  • Problem Solving and Customer Service Skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows, product contracting, planning and destination familiarization
