Job summary

A leading environmental solutions company located in Singapore is seeking candidates for a role involving the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems. Responsibilities include conducting water quality tests, performing routine equipment checks, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Ideal candidates should have a diploma in Environmental Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, along with experience in water/wastewater treatment. Shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• NITEC / Higher NITEC or Diploma in relevant fields.
• Experience in water/wastewater treatment or industrial plant operations is an advantage.
• Familiarity with chemical dosing and SCADA monitoring is a plus.

• Perform routine checks on pumps, valves, and equipment.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain theDAF wastewater treatment system

• Perform routine checks on pumps, valves, air compressors, chemical dosing units, and instrumentation

• Conduct basic water quality tests (e.g., pH, TSS, COD) and record operational data

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist with preventive maintenance

• Adjust chemical dosage (coagulants, flocculants) to ensure optimal system performance

• Ensure proper sludge handling and disposal

• Follow safety, environmental, and operational procedures at all times

Requirements

• NITEC / Higher NITEC or Diploma inEnvironmental Technology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields

• Experience in water/wastewater treatment or industrial plant operations is an advantage

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate pumps, valves, and treatment equipment

• Familiarity with chemical dosing, pH control, or SCADA monitoring is a plus

• Willingness to perform shift or standby duties if required
